Purnima Nath discusses Hindu unity, critiques US political left's policies, and addresses Islamophobia in a compelling podcast with Capt. Praveen Chaturvedi.
In the latest podcast, Capt. Praveen Chaturvedi, CEO of Prachyam Studios, engages with Purnima Nath, an Indian American entrepreneur, author, and community activist based in Wisconsin. Nath has been actively involved in politics, running as a Republican candidate for the Milwaukee County Executive and currently for the US Congress from Wisconsin’s 4th Congressional District. Her political platform emphasizes public safety, economic development, and fiscal responsibility, as well as national security, immigration, and education reform.
During the conversation, Purnima emphasizes that irrespective of geography, Hindus should unite and form a strong community, similar to other religious groups. She believes that while Hindus have achieved significant individual success, they lack a cohesive community presence. She urges Hindus to dissolve internal differences and come together for common causes and mutual support.
Purnima also discusses the approach of the political left in the US towards the economy and the issue of illegal immigration, highlighting how global dynamics have shifted due to these factors. She points out that the Islamic community needs to acknowledge these changes, but their refusal to do so remains a major concern. Nath addresses the concept of Islamophobia, stating that Muslims often label non-Muslims as Islamophobic, but she believes the reality is the opposite.
She reflects on the post-9/11 world, noting the shift in perceptions and the increasing popularity of the term "Islamophobia." Nath shares her views on religion, emphasizing the need for understanding and collaboration across different faiths.
