This video describes the glorious history of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles regiment of the Indian Army. It starts with the formation of the regiment by the British Army in 1817. It shows the valour of the regiment in 1948, 1962, 1965 and the 1971 wars that India was forced to fight. This regiment is not only one of the oldest regiments of the Army but also one of the most heavily decorated ones as well.

The 3rd Gorkha Rifles are a regiment in the Indian Army with an exceptional record of valour and courage in all the wars of Independent India. As former Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw once said,   “If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or he is a Gorkha”
